How Much You Can Save with Generic Drugs?

April 3rd, 2008 · No Comments

Some people argue how much you can save if you buy generic drugs instead of brand drugs. There is no one clear answer regarding this question. Many web on the net stated that you can save almost 70%-80% if you buy generic drugs, while the other stated just about 40%-50%. Both statements perhaps right because the price of generic drugs are flexible, sometimes they can give you very cheap price but that doesn’t mean you have save much.

What you need to know here is the competition among the generic manufacturer. If the generic versions of the medicine you want to buy only come from one pharmaceutical company, I’m afraid you wouldn’t save much; if you can save 20% thats good cause usually it’s below 10%. Things will be different if there are many pharmaceuticals companies and generic manufacturer produce the same kind of generic drugs so they have to compete in the market, this will be a really good situation for you cause therefore you can save your pocket very big in purchasing the drugs, 80% cut is a good present for you..:)
